UNDO THE DAMAGE A SIMPLE COMPLEX I had the pleasure of listening and reviewing the cd “Undo The Damage” by New Hampshire metal band “A Simple Complex”. The band and the cd dares to be different, not following the mainstream. The songs on the cd are dark, dramatic and haunting. Lyrics that are meant to be heard, not to be taken lightly or ignored. My favorite songs on the cd are: “Final Destination”, “Associate”, “Lost My World”, and “Medicated Society”. “Final Destination” starts off with a forceful guitar sound, which almost teases the listener, making them wonder what is coming. The rest of the song does not disappoint with its hard, energetic guitar riffs. The beginning of “Associate” I love. The guitar is loud, driving and rocking. The song reminds me of some of the old school metal. My favorite song on the cd is “Lost My World”. This is a dark and haunting song. Definitely reminds me of Metallica. It has a mix of the hard electric guitar with a quieter, almost acoustic guitar sound. I found myself listening to the song over and over, it stays with you. The beginning of “Medicated Society” is pure heavy metal. Wow! The guitar riffs are amazing. This is a protest song, against the modern, pill pushing Western medicine. Treating the symptoms, not the cause. My summary of “Undo The Damage”. This cd would appeal to the people who love well known bands like Disturbed and Alice In Chains. What appealed to me the most about the cd is the amazing guitar riffs. Loud, driving, and energetic. Most of all, I respect a band who is not afraid to sing about the dark side of life or the dark side of society. The band “A Simple Complex” has the potential to go far. With the right kind of people behind them, they will. I am looking forward to future songs by this band. Blondy Of Blondy Music Promotions www.myspace.com/blondyonelove www.myspace.com/blondy43
